I would love to have early access to this feature. Please reach out.
Our use case is pretty simple, post in a channel when a schedule rolls over (maybe provide a mapping of schedules to channels). Slack command to see who is on call for a given service/schedule.
I have not seen any update on this thread in quite awhile. Is the early access program still available? We would like to be a part of it and also know when this feature may become available.

My team would like access to this EAP feature as well.
Question? What do people use as their source for who’s on call? Is it by service, or team, or escalation policy?
I know an escalation policy can be tied to a service and a team, so what’s the purpose then of looking up a specific escalation policy?
Appreciate any thoughts.

We added escalation policies so you can now get on call by team, service, or escalation policy in now available. Give it a try and please share your feedback.

what we are looking for is a simple way, in slack, to tag the respective team’s on-call without bothering about who is on-call.
For instance,
By just tagging @devops-oncall, it should be smart enough to check who is on-call in devops at this time and notify that person alone. Due to a lack of this, and additional efforts to check who is on-call, people tag @devops-team interrupting everyone.
This can, perhaps, be solved by auto-rotating slack user groups based on linked on-call schedules on pagerduty.
Please make it in the flow for easy adoption.

We use https://tellspin.app to do just that. It auto rotates user groups based on a rotation interval. It looks like they have pager duty sync coming soon.

We’ve been using the exported calendars with the Google Calendar for Teams slack extension, but Slack just deprecated that and blocked new configs, so that’s not a workable option any more.
Just chiming in on that theme of these 3rd party resources not being sustainable – this is functionality that’d be great to have built in to PagerDuty.
I want to call out that this specific feature is the number one reason we downgraded our plan and won’t sign a long term contract. We’re exploring competitors instead. Once we saw that Grafana OnCall had this feature, we looked at others and found they had it too. Having to pay a third party to do this means the money we’re spending on PagerDuty already lacks appropriate ROI. If PagerDuty could manage slack groups, we’d stick with them but they haven’t embraced ChatOps in a meaningful way yet.

Use the command
/pd oncallto see who is on call
